Museum: an overused word

The word museum has apparently been overused or even abused in Taiwan.

Continuous imagination: Taipei City Museum

The misfortune of Taipei City Museum exemplifies how city governmental officials ignore the very true existence of a city museum.  Possibly, they misuse the money to promote their own imagination on a city museum that they do not intend to build at all.

他們忘了/不在乎：城市博物館是個活生生的存在。在聚落的加持、有意義、充滿創作力的活動加持之下，城市博物館的經費，被挪用至精彩的展覽活動。城市博物館，成為一個暫時性的、想像的概念。在「城市就是博物館」的偉大概念加持之下，我們遊走（請用誠品腔念出這四個字）。他美妙的文宣，無異是穿上了華美外衣的一本「文化快遞」。
