The inspiration and aspiration of the cultural development in Taiwan: Japan, the US, France, and the UK

日美法英：台灣文化建設的榜樣

I would say Japan, the US, France, and, in recent years, the UK, are the sources of inspiration and aspiration of the cultural development in Taiwan.  Japan the earliest, and the UK the most recent. Japan and the US remain the dominant sources of influence on Taiwan's cultural development (,and development in general).  The influence from France is more ad-hoc.  The UK's influence comes from two strands: creative industries and museums.

    據我所知，台灣的援外有兩個來源，一是政府、一是宗教團體。前者以金錢、技術、資源支持當地的infrastructure，後者屬社會性的急難救助較多，兩者的救助範圍也有重疊。您覺得文化工業在這裡可以扮演怎麼樣的角色呢？目前看來，我認為是有限的。
