2012-02-22的中天新聞把籃球明星有個Big Heart翻譯成「大顆心臟」。上帝啊，球員有大顆心臟是什麼意思呢？

遙遠

通識課放了一張Mona Lisa在美國的博物館展出的黑白照片，問大家

「你們覺得照片裡這件Mona Lisa是真的還是假的？」

大部份的學生都認為是假的。

我說是真的。

「那麼，為什麼Mona Lisa會在美國展出？大家猜一猜....猜對的加總分兩分，猜錯的不扣分...」，我接著問。

「紀念美國南北戰爭結束....」，一位同學說。

「那個時候還沒有相機....」，我說。

1960年代的事情以及黑白照片，對於現在的大學生來說，原來已經像是南北戰爭這麼遙遠。

Free museum admission

The free-admission policy for (national) museums has changed overtime in England. I do remember Thatcher Government re-introduced museum admission during the 1980s. Prior to that, there were times when museums were free and then became not free for financial reasons (, of course). I did read some research discussing the changes. Will dig it out someday. (sorry that I deleted the message accidentally)
